To Whom It May Concern, I just found out one reason Michael was so pale and serious at his wedding to ---. It turns out that Dad, and GJ, and Kirk, and every other male from our contingent of 'outsiders,' managed to get some face to face time with him between the announcement and the ceremony, during which time every one of them warned him that if he made --- regret this move, he was going to have to personally answer to him for it.
And, no, I am not betraying any confidences by telling you this. Michael himself suggested that I tell you this, because he wants other men to be properly warned that the men from Genesee Settlement and Harristun are serious about the lifelong welfare of their women. Serious, he said to emphasize.
And I am happy to do so. (smiling)
I am so proud of our men I cannot begin to tell you.
This short excerpt is from the To Whom It May Concern portion of Notes From Hiding. I've deleted the bride's name, and the chapter number, to reduce the spoiler level.
